    Eh, lets not be hasty as buyers, a lot more pain coming for FL sellers…..insurance situation isn’t getting better ( ya may have to self insure except- you can’t do it if you have a mortgage so cash will be king), condo situation is getting worse, lender restrictions in flood areas going to limit pool of buyers; hoa fees are getting worse; existing homes are competing with builders- why by an older home when a builder will sell you a new one for less and often include incentives like rate buy downs; and mortgage rates aren’t coming down in near term- i am shocked that the home prices re holding up as well as they are- soon the reckoning will come especially if we go into a recession…..

    I feel bad for these people. We lived in SW Florida from 1982 until 2006. Sold our home before 2008 when the market was high. We made a 200,000 profit. No way we could live there now. We are retired and live in the midwest. I wish everyone the best.😊❤

    If the chances of your home getting destroyed within 30 years is 25%, insurance should cost a preset penny. Maybe 50% of the mortgage on the non-land portion of the sales value over 30 years. I wouldn’t want to insure homes in coastal Florida.

    Every place on this list is practically podunk. Ocala is getting larger but surrounded by crud. Investors went in because the homes were dirt cheap and builders are there because the land was cheap. That doesn’t make any of the towns listed worth living there. While I feel there will be a decline in prices 10-15% I do believe for the most part this is the new world and price. Only time will tell for certain.

    Maybe it’s crashing in FL, but in Virginia, it’s crazy. Homes here are still selling $100k over what they’re worth. Most on the market on 3-4 days before they are under contract.
